Lalalayla!Amazing for vegan curiousIm listening episode after episode to prepare and educate myself to take the leap from vegetarian to vegan. Kristen shares information in a big sister way that makes veganism wayyy more attainable.
-
LacebadgerSuper helpful for a beginnerI binged most episodes in two short weeks! Super helpful. Recommended future topics based on where I’m struggling in vegan circles online: (1) the intersection of veganism and harmful aspects of diet culture, and (2) ableism in vegan communities.

Drystan007Thank you so much! You’ve been a big help to me with ALL your episodes. Please keep the podcast going for as long as you’re able. This podcast has really improved my life as a new vegan.

Yannii1kVegan?Honestly I came to this podcast looking for inspiration to start my vegan journey but I just feel like a lot of people who are vegan make it about the animals being harmed, but honestly for me that’s not the reason I’m going vegan it’s more because of how they are persevering these products and the way the are keeping the animals that they will be serving to us. Like I love meat but I really don’t want to keep getting sick because these big companies would rather make money than care about how they are preparing these products. I feel like you want to show your journey in this podcast but it also feels like you are bashing people that eat meat and I didn’t come here to feel bad. Sorry it’s not for me but thanks for you’re hard work I know their are many people who agree with you and can relate to your story I’m just not one of them.

Patelh47New listener - 20 Vegan ComebacksThank you so much for the great podcast (20 vegan comebacks), you’ve done a really good way to highlight the most commonly asked questions and how to tackle them. I often get emotional and may come off as aggressive when explaining to friends and family. I really took a lot out of that podcast and can’t wait to listen to your older ones and keep up with the new ones! Highly recommend to everyone that is health conscious, care about the environment and truly care about the animals!

StefferPerkGreat podcast even for non-VeganI really enjoyed listening to all the episodes! While I’m not vegan I try to consume as much plant based food/products as possible. Many of the episodes gave me new perspectives on the vegan lifestyle and tips to integrate more of that into my own life. I especially resonated with the last episode. Thanks for sharing a piece of yourself with me and I’m hopeful when the time is right you’ll be back ❤️. -Boise Steph

Bw123..“Am I still vegan if” great episode!I have thought this so many times reading vegans attack each other and vegans attacking vegetarians. It drives me crazy. Thanks for taking the time out to publish this.
-

thiscouldbefunHot to veganAwesome podcast. Listen to it when I commute Kristen is friendly, informative and passionate in the best way possible. Thank you for all the great info!!!
-
Bangs&TeethDoesn’t Waste Time, Just Tons Of Good InfoI really appreciate the lack of silly production and narcissism in this podcast. Kristen just gets right down to it and loads you with great vegan information. I especially love how she speaks quickly because I get a little impatient with slow-speaking podcasters. Keep up the great work!

Sweetchef98Beyond Helpful For This Newbie! Thanks so much for all of the information. My wife and I are both new to veganisim and your podcast has been an incredibly helpful tool. You have a very non judgmental way of sharing your views and it is much appreciated. I think it can attract people to this lifestyle in droves! Keep it up and thanks again

Very Grateful ListenerLove this showI don’t have many vegan/vegetarian people I can talk to so listening to this podcast has been really helpful to remember that there are people out there who relate to the feeling of not wanting to participate in the unnecessary suffering of animals. Super well researched content. I love that there’s minimal chit chat and it gets into the content and is focused on being educational and informative. Even the ads are helpful! Really excited to try Wholier.

tayray91New and loving itI have just found your podcast and have been binging while I’m at work. I’m loving your content and all your tips and ideas for those of us starting this journey. I also absolutely love the real energy you bring there is nothing sugar coated and fake. Digging all you’ve had to say so far!! ❤️

Meganm007I’m sure its great for some people, not for everyoneI keep trying but I feel like its a lot of rambling. I like when things are more concise and to the point.
-
DaniV4everCould be betterAs a vegan I applaud the effort and appreciate the topics covered; however, the episodes are close to an hour long with probably 15 minutes of actual content. Too many long winded responses instead of just getting to the point.

StickywindiwzNot a review, a love letter 💌Let me start off by saying....I’m the last person who would’ve ever went vegan. I’ve watched a million episodes of MEAT EATER, my gamer tag used to be CHEEZBRGRTHYZ, my fiancé affectionately referred to me as “my little Dairy Queen.” 😐 yeah. You can imagine my horror! My health was really bad a few years ago and I’m only in my twenties. I was struggling with obesity and unhealthy habits. I cut out the bad habits and changed my diet, but my body suffered injury easily after any type of activity, and I still felt gross! It felt like I had the word VEGAN floating around my head. I honestly can’t describe it as I’ve never even given it a second thought. I typed it into Spotify and there it was, How To Vegan. It was love at first episode! After listening to a few I went to What The Health and then continued down the vegan rabbit hole! I’m now a delivery driver and get to listen in bliss most of the day! I’ve learned so much and I LOVE your takes on just about anything! You do NOT sound like a 14 year old, please don’t change based on that feedback! You are a true inspiration and changed my whole eating style in 24 hours and I’m never going back. I can’t believe all the suffering I turned a blind eye to! I can feel that it’s leaving my body and I’m better for it! I’m making gains and not hurting myself in the gym, my recovery time is soooo much faster, I have energy, my sleep has been consistent!! I’ve never been a cook and it’s like I’m ACTUALLY falling in love with food for the first time. Not to mention, I feel safe knowing you will ALWAYS be vegan! You have my support in whatever you do 100%. A true fan right here! Thank you a million times for creating what you have and making this information easy to listen to out of the kindness of your heart. I bet you’re responsible for a LOT less suffering today. ❤️

KVS-EugeneSo helpful and kindFull of practical help, delivered with good cheer and kindness.

HappyBeaeAmazingThis podcast is exactly what I was looking for! As a new vegan it is a great source for information, motivation, and is just plain fun to listen to. Keep it up Kristen, you’re amazing!!!
-
vegan alwaysGood content bad languageListened to a podcast for the first time. Great content but a lot of unnecessary foul language
-
Iowa33Love her podcast so much! Just what I was looking forKristen is amazing. Not only is she full of facts & information on being vegan, going vegan & just information on a cruelty free life, but she’s so easy to listen to. She completely takes all the seriousness & edge out of talking about veganism. She has a really good approach & I think if more people came from a place of no judgement & love like she does, the world would be a better place.. & hopefully all vegan ;) thanks for positively impacting my life
-
aspennicole07ABSOLUTLY LOVE HERif I would give more than 5 stars I would. She puts so much research in what she talks about. U had to drive 16 hours from Florida to Tennessee. This podcast saved me!! Worth the listen!
-
Rachel256Love itI really appreciate the amount of research Kristen does, that she generally tries to not be sensationalist, and that she covers a lot of the different reasons to go vegan.
-
SmmcoffmanWhatever is after the but…‘You do you’ but…. Massive guilt trip. Narrator contradicts themselves with in a sentence. Listening to a couple episodes and they jars the reason people do not like vegans.
-
XtinamelissaLove this podcast!!!I just recently went vegan (over a month now) and Kristen is awesome! Very informative and inspiring 💗
-
glorykwilliamsLove!I am a very recent Vegan and am loving this podcast. It’s super helpful to learn about the best vegan brands and supplements!
-
starkj80New Vegan and loving this show!I started eating vegan about a month ago and found this podcast when it was suggested to me by TuneIn radio. I think Kristin is funny and informative. She’s very down to earth and that’s what I like. I’m not into the preachy holier than thou approach and this podcast fits the bill. I learn how to co-exist with my omnivore family.
-
fheoegtjksvgcvrhsueuwiqoqjfPERFECT for beginner vegans!!So I’ve been vegetarian since January of 2020 and finally decided to go vegan a couple months ago and WOW do I wish I found this podcast earlier! Not only is she funny but she does all the research and I have already learned soooo many things from her! I recommend anyone to listen to this because it’s super informative but especially for those who are newer to veganism or are trying to make that next step! 12/10 :)

Dhjdnslajznxnznthe reason why I’m veganI absolutely LOVE this podcast. I have been vegan for over a year BUT before I went vegan, I listened to this podcast nearly everyday. Kristen completely changed my perspective on the world and the beings surrounding us. It is obvious that she puts and immense amount of effort and emotion into each episode. I went vegan when I was sixteen and many of my family members were opposed to it, and some of them still are. Their “jokes” and comments tear me down, but when I listen to this podcast, it builds me back up. Kristen is so comforting and seems so understanding. She has such a beautiful soul! I definitely recommend this podcast, even if you aren’t vegan‼️
-
BrandyNoodleNo nonsense with great infoThis podcast has some great information for vegans…both about food and social issues. I like that she will tell about things she enjoys but is very practical and doesn’t really want to spend a ton of moolah on things she can make herself. I’ve listened to lots of episodes and have totally enjoyed her!
-
raphaela04Amazing!!I love love love this podcast! It’s so chill to listen to Kristen talking about veganism and hearing how passionate she is. She is not pushy at all and makes listening to the podcast so much fun!!
-
Judy BroomFavorite Host 🤗Honestly, I don’t subscribe to many vegan podcasts because generally I don’t like interviews with experts. I’m sure they’re great but usually the sound quality is poor over a phone call or the experts are very dry and boring. However, I really found what I love in Kristen Pound’s show format. She presents her show with thorough research and good sound quality throughout, plus she has a good soothing voice I can listen to during the gym when I’m about to die. 🥵 So great job Kristen, please keep the episodes coming! And PS- I enjoy the rambling intro, if other people don’t like it there a skip button!
-
Mrs Amanda PandaAwesome podcast!Thank you Kristen for your strong vegan perspective! So much quality information, tips and support here! Keep going girl!
-
Mrs VonDoomI made the decision to go VeganI turned 40 and decided I wanted to regain my health and contribute to making the difference I want to see in the world (animals, climate and sustainability.) I am able to listen to podcast while I work and thought if I’m going to make this change I need some help. Made the commitment to listen to nothing but Vegan podcasts for the next 30 days. I’m starting with How To Vegan. It has been incredibly helpful with where to start and ways to easy incorporate the vegan lifestyle into all aspects of my life. Thank you
-
Mrs TrellyBeautifully RawThis is the first podcast I found when I was searching for resources when I first made the leap into a plant based lifestyle. Kristen is a treat to listen to. It is not over produced or overly soap-boxy. She provides well researched, inclusive, and applicable information. Thank you Kristen. ❤️
-
BergerikaRealistic VeganismI started listening to this podcast a few months ago, and have found the various topics really fun and helpful-camping, road-tripping, and especially vegan pregnancy! I thought the veganism and white supremacy episode was very needed in the vegan community, and if you listen to the episode with an open mind (even if it’s uncomfortable for you), you will begin to take away valuable information. My take away-living a vegan lifestyle is not white supremacy. Living a vegan lifestyle and looking down on those who do not have the means to, or maybe have not reached that point in their journey yet-well, that sure can be.
-
caela1013Never thought about it like that! This podcast is great and really eye opening!
-
ap539LOVEAbsolutely love this podcast. I appreciate Kristen shedding a light on difficult topics and explaining them with grace and multiple perspectives. Kristen, you have helped me so much through my transition into veganism and been the voice of reason in my mind when I struggle or people try to challenge my beliefs. Thank you! Your podcast and story has helped me more than you know. ❤️
-
kaitlynkikiAmazing!!Kristen puts a lot of research and thought into every episode. I like the podcast because she portrays facts objectively and gives great advice about common problems vegans can run into. Overall very helpful!
-
ACampbell12012Thank you! When I first switched to a vegan lifestyle, the hardest part was trying to be perfect at it and not having any mess-ups, this podcast is part of the many people/books/blogs etc that helped me on this journey that is on going. One of the many things I have loved about this podcast is the variation. Thank you for covering the topics you do, thank you for doing the episode on Veganism and White Supremacy, because for a long time I thought veganism was something only rich white people did. Thank you for addressing the need to stop this violence and racism and inequality in ALL areas instead of only focusing on one at all times. There are so many things that need to be fixed and if we focus on just one it will take till the end of time, but we are stronger together and if people from all different areas can work together to solve the problems, we won’t have to wait until the end of days to see the results. Thank you for what you are doing!
-
CatscratchallyThank you!Thank you for putting hard to listen to but necessary content out! Thank you for your latest episode on white veganism. Keep doing great work and know all those who took offense on the latest episode have a lot of work to do. Great work!!
-
Savannah SizemoreALL things VeganIt so refreshing and important to see someone dissect the complex inner workings of veganism in 2021. I can’t remember another time I have heard another white and we can discuss the inherent privilege and white supremacy within vegan culture. If somethings said in this podcast makes you feel a little bit uncomfortable, sit with that for a minute and see if you can make a positive change or a better world 🤝🌸💕
-
Lena RussellOffensive and patronisingI found it very grating listening to the white supremacy episode. I am white, vegan, do yoga, and think that this podcast is very patronising to white people. I was shocked to hear ‘most white vegans don’t think about this’ - where do your exaggerated ‘facts’ come from? Definitely won’t be listening further, it felt more like a 16 year old just venting and criticising vegans who happen to be white. Not a cool podcaster from my perspective.
-
klcbvaVeganism = white supremacy???? What a nut job!God help us.
-
NewYorkPetWhite supremacist??!First episode I’ve listened to - about 3 weeks into trying this lifestyle. And this is what plays?? This is absolutely pathetic. The fact that she keeps saying this isn’t her work means she isn’t sure about what she is saying. The fact that you’ve said black and white over 100 times in this show IS RACIST. Just stop. You sound awful talking about this
-
Kenna97876756Sooo informativeI am new to being vegan and don’t know a whole lot about it. I have be learning SOOO MUCH!!! I am SO grateful for this podcast. I also love how positive Kristen is in every episode. Every episode gets me so excited to be vegan and share my new found knowledge!! Anyone who is looking into or is vegan should listen to this podcast!
