StarbraidzSo disappointedI purchased 2 VIP tickets for the Atlanta show and never received any confirmation on the venue and time of the show. I have reached out to you guys on instagram and through email with no response. I would like a refund. I will not be listening to this podcast anymore.

xtguinkifShow needs some work!Ladies the shows concept is great but like someone else wrote the cackling, laughing, and constant funny commentary makes it hard to listen. Itās like yāall making fun of real black stories that are in no way a laughing matter. Hopefully as the podcast grows you share the stories and add the right commentary.
-
C. Moore97Kinda weirdThe mom shows favoritism towards males, I also hate when you guys fixate on the murderers looks. Itās just strange
-
Buttercupp93It might be time to end the podThere is a lot of buffering during the episodes & the episodes with the mom should be listed differently so some of us can skip because she be loud & wrong & annoying.
-
ardent-armadillaLove your showAs a white person, todayās episode was so hard to hear. I am horrified and sickened by white peopleās treatment of black and brown people! I so appreciate learning about your culture and have always admired brown people (I always wanted to be a black woman). Love everything about you two and your Mom!

Bre š¦I canāt do it anymoreMy mom recommended this podcast to me and at first I really enjoyed it. Kayla and Kristen have a great dynamic but I often wonder if they remember that they are speaking on real people and their lives. The constant giggling and random unrelated comments takes away from the otherwise amazing story telling. The episodes with their mom are particularly hard to get through. She typically makes them more giggly and her child like voice when speaking about such sensitive topics is too much of a contrast.

Six ParkerPhenomenal, Outstandingly Amazing.I love love this podcast. I am obsessed real bad. Iāve listened to every episode and I stalk the platforms when yāall donāt drop on Friday. Anyways so happy to hear Mama Nikkiās voice. Sheās my Fave ! Enjoyed Terrell last week as well. Keep up the amazing content ladies. Yall are taking it.
-
GA2COgirlJust tell the storyI canāt even get through the episode because of the unnecessary commentary from the boyfriend. Come on now. Doing too dang much. This isnāt my go to show but decided to give it another chance but I canāt do it. The regular host even seemed annoyed by him. Just do the show alone or skip a week if the regular hosts arenāt available. Unfollowing the show now. SMH.

BamasReaper86Love Themš„°I LOVE true crime and I have an hour drive to and from school everyday and I swear I be locked in the ENTIRE time. Keep it up ladies. Hate I canāt make the ATL show but I will one day.

2 EāsI love momma Nikki!!!My homegirl / home stylist hipped me to this podcast awhile back and Iāve been hooked ever since. Momma Nikki is the best and Iām so glad sheās on more episodes! I appreciate being able to laugh while also listening / honoring the lives of those lost to crime! Keep going š¹

blacgirlostMoves a little slowā¦The show has interesting stories. Sometimes hard to get into because of all the unnecessary interruptions and interjections. Theyāre annoying and donāt move the stories along in any way. Especially from mom. Too many explanations of pop culture references and common know things. Otherwise, itās ok.
-
Allylefty23Just BadI tried yaāll. But the mispronunciation of names and places and mixing up the names of the players of the story and the going off topic endlessly just killed it for me.
-
KiettaLove the showI love this show. I think Mama Nikki is hilarious and keeps the ladies on their toes when sheās on because they canāt cuss. You can tell they grew up right. (I do like the cussing lol) They tell a great story. I think they are hilarious too. Also people donāt come for their mother.
-
Monfie2Great!Iāve been listening for some time now. Iām in the car a lot traveling for work and this podcast is a welcome break from music during those times. Keep doing what you are doing. Side note: Have you considered an episode about Anthony Sowell? He was known as the Cleveland Strangler. Truly a despicable man.
-
Aaayyy515Good not greatIāve listened on and off over the years with mixed feelings. I love that they cover lesser known cases. Many of them canāt even be found on Reddit so I appreciate the research that goes into this. I also approach it with grace as I always will for black women. Iāve seen reviews calling these ladies ghetto and hood which they are nothing of the sort btw! (Dog whistle) On the other hand I do think that they can beinsensitive, though it has gotten a little better over time. I would actually hate it if they covered a case for a loved one of mine. I was turned off by an episode proving they werenāt educated on DV. Which is sad since itās such a recurring theme in true crime and contributes to the storytelling and victims perspective. They also scolded a listener who very gently left a review saying they should educate themselves. If u really enjoy hearing lesser known cases itās worth laboring through imo.

KK from the BronxToo much laughingI know some listeners will not agree, but I find Mama Nikkiās incessant giggling to be a bit much-especially when weāre learning how some unfortunate person was murdered. The high pitched laughter is distracting and the constant off topic interruptions are off putting. She seems like a lovely person, but at times she brings a silliness to the pod that just does not feel appropriate.
-
Dancerella322Great Stories, Too LightheartedI definitely understand personality differences and trying to lighten the load of a dark topic however the giggling and momās over talking is very distracting. Although this is a black podcast we are not a monolith so some for the race jokes can be off putting. On a positive note, the story telling (when not interrupted) is top tier.
-
rdoubleuNew hereFound ya from the dock on the murderer. The humor and childlike voice of the mom is odd for this subject matter. Maybe one more episode to see if I stay.
-
Listenernumber5A little too comedicI was really into this podcast for a week or so, im new to pods so it was my favorite due to inexperience. I did feel a little iffy when i was listening due to all the jokes and humor around victims and suspects for that matter but i started a couple new pods & it really validated what i was already feeling. The jokes arent normal & not everyone makes them. I understand making the show light hearted but some of the things yall say are just really unnecessary esp momma nikki š shes so cute and her jokes are funny but i dont think on this type of podcast is the place to showcase them. Turn down the humor a bit and be a little more respectful and the show would be 5 stars! Wishing success on yall & hoping yall take the criticism with grace.

Joi Charbonnet-HowardMama is such a delight!!!Foremost, I have been on an avid search for more Black woman led true crime podcast and you all have been the most delightful find! The multigenerational perspective is fantastic and Mama is a hoot, reminds me of my own! For those that make claims that these ladies lack the professionalism you seek, go watch 60 Minutes or listen to NPR, this isnāt the one for you. Their perspective is unique to who they are and their personalities are clearly very jovial and quick-witted, if you want misery seek that out but they arenāt your company. The negative reviews are unnecessary when you could simply leave. Keep going ladies, your voices are so valuable to this space!

jogtolo123453InconsistentLove the pod but episodes are so inconsistent
-
breamedl11Very distastefulI thought it was just me but looking at other reviews it seems to be a lot that think this podcast is tacky, disrespectful and distasteful. No regard for the families with all side giggle, snickering and rude comments. I had to unfollow after one episode
-
c AmeyWho let Ma do the AdvertisingI lost it at āI think itās some doggy crackā š¤£ I love mama Nikki. Oh yeah yall tooā¦ š«¶š¾

Lanch77pNot here for itFor this to be a podcast covering black true crime by black women I feel like itās insensitive. Only listened to two episodes and was instantly turned off. Too many instances where yāall referring to black men as thugs, hood or ghetto. In one episode the referred to the victim at least 7 times. Very distasteful. Constantly pushing the negative narrative of black ppl. Specifically the Black Friday episode. Andddd the motherās voice is annoying and her comments are unnecessary & adds nothing to the show. Example: the mother made a comment about one of the murders saying that one of the victims was āthickā and someone should have heard the tussle when she was being killed. Like wth.
-
Goodie hairsNot funnyYou guys laughing and giggling while discussing a murder is crazy. I would be so upset to hear this while discussing my loved one brutal death is so disturbing disrespectful. Momma is the worst of them all! The Nova Henry case wow very disrespectful I seen your photos yall donāt have to worry about being played by a basketball player!
-
JayJizalThe homiesIn my head, weāre homies. Keep up the good work ladies and Mama Nikki
-
couragemom24Do Betterā¦Ghetto MessHow can I possibly listen to a true crime podcast -Margo Prade episode when narrators are laughing and giggling. I was so excited when I found a true crime podcast hosted by black women, I was excited but as usualā¦ ignorance, silliness and stereotypical hood behavior prevailsā¦ughh!! This is a ghetto mess!!! Just embarrassing! Take a speech class.
-
dndbrbrjdksGrow upVery rude and childish. These people have been murdered . Families have lost loved ones and you all ignorant , childish, ghetto people find it funny. Karma is something serious hope you keep that same energy. Bad enough grown women but to have a male on there acting like that is ridiculous
-
NikkiBurtonI LOVE this podcastI listen EVERYDAY at work! Iām on episode 127. Although this girl was lying about getting pregnant after her tubes were tied, itās very possible to get pregnant after a bilateral tubal ligation. I know because I had one 6/17/2012. My first son was born 2/25/14 and my second son was born 10/4/2023. I got them removed after my most recent birth.
-
Johnna_B1Love yāall!!I love this show so much!!! My favorite show. And I listen to quite a few true crime shows. I laugh like we sitting around telling stories on couch. Yes I know you are discussing some bad things but still. Yall my cousins because Ms.Momma Nikki is definitely my aunt in my head!šššš

Dee-EsHave more Grace. This is an honest critique. Iāll give credit where credit is due; the show has great insight and depth. However, the comments abt people can be insensitive, and down right rude. I could give numerous examples, but that would make a 10pg review. The mother is my age and honestly she makes cringe comments. Itās like she thinks she is being funny but just being cringe. Iām sure she is nice, but she cannot read the room. Some of the things she says abt people , Iām rewind to see if she really said it. Have some grace and respect people. Esp victims!!!!
-
Truth Fairy!Amazing PodcastāCan We Hear More Stories About Black Women?I really enjoy this podcast! You all do such a great job breaking down each case and making it engaging. However, I would love to hear more stories focusing on Black women in true crime, rather than primarily men killing women. I think it would add a fresh and compelling perspective, and itād be so interesting to hear your take on those cases. Thanks for the great content, and I hope to see this direction in future episodes!
-
Mommy of A squares DAwesomenessIām in love with this podcast!!! You guys are great story tellers and ooohhh mama Nikki keeps me cracking up with her Loretta Divine voiceā¦. Keep up the good work ladies!!!! Iām a pure true crime junkie and you guys are one of my favorites ā¤ļøā¤ļø
-
DrTraumaERChildishI would love to give this podcast a negative 5. Itās way too much giggling and joking about serious matters which is extremely disrespectful. Itās as if they have not experience any tragedies and canāt empathize with the victims or their familiesā¦ā¦but karma. The episode about Nova Henry was the WORST. I know the family had to be disappointed. They victim blamed her throughout that entire episode and that poor girl was murdered. The daughters behave as teenage girls and the mother is no better, actually itās pointless to have her on the pod cast bc she contributes absolutely nothing but irrelevant and idiotic comments. They give just anybody a mic smh. Donāt waste your time with this one, even the research is lackluster.

Harvey ButtholeYour racism is showingLet me go start a podcast called āwhite true crimeā

Missy197742BTCI found this Podcast a few months ago, I am hooked I literally went back as far as I could! I lost 30 lbs while walking listening to you all! And Momma Nikki is THEE best to ever do it, she is undefeated! Thank you ladies for being the best and keeping us all engaged! Iām sad I listened to the last episode :( keep it up the wonderful work!
-
5643588$gAddictedThis podcast is in my top 3! Iām hooked and always waiting for the next episode. Kristen & Kayla make it fun, interesting, and relatable listening to each case. I love when Momma Nikki is in the building; her commentary, laughter, and quick wit bring the comedy. Such a great black true crime podcast. Theyāre always my first listen. Keep up the great work! Canāt wait for the next one
-
SupahStaarWhy was mama Nikki added again?I love the podcast but ever since mama Nikki has become a permanent fixture I donāt listen anymore! I love her but her voice is annoying and she interrupts too much , too much dude talk and ridiculous banter and insensitive jokes, references and justificationsā¦ please please please go back to Kristen and Kayla and mama Nikki every now and then like before ā¦ I see a lot of comments saying they donāt care for her on the show so why keep her? Do you guys not want to exclude her to save her feelings orrrrrr?! Iām just trying to understandā¦ at any rate! I saw you guys on a murder doc and I was so proud of you!
-
lynndaysiaNew listenerI just found your podcast and Iām in love. I love ya all 4 of ya. I put ya on for my 10 hour shifts I canāt get enough of this podcast. Keep up the great work
-
But I digress ..So Good!Straight fire! Kayla breaks down the cases like sheās reading our minds, saying what weāre all thinking. The chemistry between the crew? Absolutely wild. Love how it stays family-oriented while still keeping it real. Black women killing it in this spaceānothing but respect. Y'all killin it! - no pun intended.
-
Kaileigh.NicholeNot For MeI love true crime, but there is too much going on in this podcast. From the side conversations, jokes, interrupting each other, and meaningless banter, I just couldnāt get into it.
-
Upset annoyed frustrated madItās good butā¦.The young lady who tells the story is excellent I appreciate the sound quality. However, Iām not sure about the other two voices I hear. I find at least one of them to be extremely obnoxious and providing unnecessary commentary that doesnāt go with the seriousness the main person uses when discussing these cases. I only listen on occasion but I realize thatās why. As Iām listening, I believe itās the newest voice Iām hearing that I find to be obnoxious. Maybe letās keep the two original voices?
-
Jking334I tried to like itI tried to like the podcast because i love true crime but itās way to much giggling and laughing and at serious topics . Itās almost like teenagers are running this podcast. Mom almost adds no input to the actual discussion. She isnāt needed. Also wish yall would research the topics more
-
AywoodyDef top 5Mama Nikki, is my fav her banter & laughter gets me going EVERY time!! I love the storytelling & the banter between Kristen & Kayla. Definitely feels like Iām in the room with them. Keep up the good work!! I highly recommend you guys every chance I get!
-
MszLovelyNrseIām HookedAfter reading some peopleās comments, I can see a lot of them missed the disclaimer that is said āthis isnāt for everyoneā. Anywho! I have to say that I absolutely love this podcast. The side comments and banter. The different opinions and all make it very interesting. Something that I love. I will be tuning in for more and more episodes!!
-
Sophie1913True Crime FailI was excited to listen to true crime from another podcast that offered a Black perspective and cases. My excitement quickly turned to shock and disgust when I hear the banter and jokes about everything from a victims name to these horrific crimes. Itās like someone allowed very immature teenagers a microphone and said āgo make a crime podcastā. They are very lighthearted to be discussing murder and violence. I only hope nobody associate with victims or families ever comes upon this farce of a show! Do better or shut this foolishness down!
-
Honest/opinionFind another true crime podcastIāve listened to one full episode & maybe 5 minutes of another episode to know this is not for me. I think the lead host (donāt know her name) is here for jokes instead of providing information about the actual crimes.
