Please continue the informative and NP geared discussions
I am a current NP student. This podcast has shed light on so many resources and is uniquely influential for a prospective NP. I am inspired and gain knowledge after each podcast. Please continue this great work.

    DNP
The guests in the show are really excellent, and do a great job. The hostess speak almost robotically and do not engage with their guests. Connie Barton at the AACN podcast does a fantastic job hosting, introduces her guests and has a conversational tone to her questions instead of reading them off of a piece of paper, which it sounds like these hosts are doing. I realize they are not providers, but maybe you should have some providers hosting instead.

Informative but some speakers need polishing
As a NP, I find the majority of topics very helpful and interesting to listen to. I echo another reviewer‘s concern regarding pronunciation, though. I had to stop listening to an episode after repeatedly hearing two doctorate-trained NPs and host pronounce atherosclerosis as ‘arthur-o-sclerosis.’

    Meh
Most of these are the NPs reading straight from a textbook. Zzzzz.

    Overall Good Content
The content is great. However, this isn’t so much your typical podcast. It’s one person who pre-records questions, and a separate person who records answers. It makes this a little monotone (in my opinion). You aren’t listening to a back and forth conversation. For someone who has a hard time focusing in settings where the information just sounds like it’s being read to me.. I can’t seem to focus on what they’re saying in this podcast. But I wish that wasn’t the case, because - like I said - the content is good. But I appreciate the live back and forth conversations between practitioners for my style of “podcast learning”.

    Generally solid, but...
Generally solid content though having narrators who repeatedly mispronounce the main topic is distracting and definitely injures credibility for the podcast. “Polynephritis” —-> pyelonephritis.

    Push for DNP
It’s nice to look forward about promoting DNP, but we need to look at salary and is it worth getting a DNP. There are nurses who do not have their BSN, because many states don’t offer a compensation for receiving higher education. We need to work on benefits on continuing education. We all know it’s needed, but some people can’t afford more debt when the salary may not even be worth it. More facilities should offer tuition/tuition reimbursement for those who want to continue their education (DNP). I would rather hear about future progress and goals with nurse practitioners.
