I found this pod through the infamous TikToks that Hannah would make. It became such a vital part of my week, especially when I lived away from family during the Covid lockdown. Still a loyal fan with the merch shirt to prove it.

I came here from Hannah’s TikToks but love the pod! I’m a basic lady with basic taste in music and my crush is a big ska fan who has never watched Degrassi. I shared the lore and I’m so close to converting him into the Degrassi cult! I started at the next Gen episodes but this podcast is my biggest motivator for starting the OG Degrassi. Also, Bat Boy’s EP is sick and I’m going to buy the vinyl from Mike’s website sometime in the near future!

The only podcast I religiously listen to on a weekly basis. I’ve seen the OG episodes from the late 80’s and actually started watching TNG when I was in college because I was broke and it aired on Friday nights. I actually developed a drinking game watching TNG. I love going back and rewatching the episodes before I listen to the episode and try to predict what Hannah Mike and Rick are going to notice or critique. Also loved all the special guest hosts from punk and ska bands that I have listened to and seen live over the years. Whatever it takes I know I can make it through

I came to the pod from cohost Hannah’s hilarious TikTok account dedicated to Degrassi. I religiously watched TNG as it aired in the early 00’s, so it’s a joy to relive the series and laugh along at all the cringey elements, and I’m especially tickled when a guest is exposed for the first time and becomes enthralled by the drama. This is the nostalgic pop culture/TV nerdery I literally live for, so I’m locked in for eps that cover the core Next Gen cast. I might try to watch the OG series from the 80’s so I can follow the early eps of the pod too. Definitely hope to hear from more cast/crew members of the show as well. The musical references mentioned pretty much always go over my head, but that’s my only issue and doesn’t deter me from listening. Be the best!!!
